Rock Classics /// Pink Floyd “Another Brick In The Wall”

The song “Another Brick In The Wall” written by Roger Waters is taken off Pink Floyd’s conceptual rock opera “The Wall” (1979) and the song we’re going to have a look today at, is actually the second part of the set of three songs having one and the same title. With the famous “We don’t need no education”, the song became the hymn of school rebels, the sign of protest and disagreement with teachers’ abuse,  rigid system and tough rules. The song was even banned in South Africa after 1980. The main topic of “Another Brick In The Wall”  revolves around strict and conventional schooling which implied schoolchildren merely as “bricks in the wall”, but not individuals.
