Want some old-school Ursa Major? Here’s ‘Fist Of The Fleet’.

Track 5 – ‘Fist Of The Fleet’

‘Fist Of The Fleet’ begins in an intricate, technical manner which leads to continuous onslaught of melodies dominating the whole song. However, this storm is quietened in the final stage of the song by a calm passage with a very lyrical twist, which serves as a recharge before returning to the stormy mode. Hurricane-force non-stop and real passion will not leave you indifferent.

Ursa Major on ‘Fist Of The Fleet’

Main Inspiration – This song was written back in 2010 and was one of our first releases as a band. We felt this song stood out and we brought it forward with us.

Main Message – It used to be quite a personal song but as life goes on its not so much anymore. To put it in a nutshell it’s about betrayal and home truths.

Connected Story – It was first recorded at Outhouse Studios with John Mitchell (Architects, Enter Shikari, YouMeAtSix).

Anything else? – The first idea came from a song off The Bled’s Silent Treatment album.
